Oceanic Holdings was formed to consolidate the various activities of the Oceanic group of telecommunications businesses.

The following summarises the extensive experience the group has in the telecommunications environment (in the mobile and international calling environments), logistics and distribution.

Oceanic Communications Limited

Oceanic Communications Limited (OCL) distributes cellular phones, accessories, airtime recharge cards, and marketing materials on behalf of network operators. The company offers specialist distribution service.
OCL  is a 50/50 joint venture between Oceanic Holdings and the Facey Commodity Company Limited of Jamaica. It provides services to mobile companies Digicel Pacific and 2 Degrees in New Zealand.
OCL is one of two worldwide distributors for Digicel, with close links encompassing technical, marketing and sales.
OCL has subsidiaries operating in New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, and Fiji.
OCL has seen a rate of revenue growth in its first 3 years of operation exceeding 500%, with revenues at US$209m for the year ending 31 December 2010. OCL was recognised as the 11th fastest growing company in New Zealand in the Deloitte Fast 50 awards for 2010.

Oceanic Logistics Limited

Oceanic Logistics supports clients in remote locations who require a single dependable supplier for a diverse range of needs. The company provides stock, marketing materials, equipment, software, and business support services to telecommunications clients. From design to production to procurement, Oceanic Logistics identifies and delivers the right solution. This might include anything from a brochure through to a custom-painted mobile sales trailer.

Top Up New Zealand Limited

Top Up New Zealand Limited provides electronic systems and facilities to Telecom New Zealand Limited to support Telecom’s electronic prepaid recharge card and calling card products.

With a staff of over 250, the Oceanic group is backed by substantial private investment capital.

Group Directors

The Directors of the group are Craig Beedell, Locky Mulholland and Tonis Focas.

Locky has extensive experience in Telco trading. Global trading of cell phones and toll traffic has secured Locky an extensive network of contacts, particularly within Asia and the Pacific. 

Craig has worked in the telecommunications industry for 25 years. He has been a past Director of Telecom Samoa Cellular Limited, Telecom USA Limited, RE International Limited and was a senior manager in Telecom New Zealand Limited. Craig was the International Minutes Trading Business Manager for Telecom New Zealand International Limited for 3 years and has an intimate knowledge of the international toll minute trading business.

Tonis has been involved in the New Zealand Fishing Industry for most of his life. He has been involved in family owned fishing operations both prior to, and since the introduction of the Quota Management System in New Zealand.  Since 1989 that involvement has been until recently as a Director and joint Managing Director of Ocean Ranch (New Zealand) Limited. Ocean Ranch (New Zealand) Limited entered into a joint venture with The Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission to form Prepared Foods Limited. Prepared Foods Limited is the largest New Zealand, and one of the world’s largest abalone operations.
